1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the APIKeyConnect website (https://apikeyconnect.com) and/or the APIKeyConnect Chrome browser extension (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and APIKeyConnect ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

APIKeyConnect is a secure API key management platform that allows users to store, organize, and retrieve API keys via a web dashboard and Chrome browser extension. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers, team management features, and project organization tools.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

APIKeyConnect offers free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe.
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees until you cancel.
  • Plan features and pricing are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Store, transmit, or distribute malicious code, malware, or viruses.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to store credentials for illegal activities.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission.

6. API Keys and User Data

You retain full ownership of the API keys and credentials you store in the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.

  • You are solely responsible for the API keys you store and how they are used.
  • You must ensure you have the right to store and use any API keys added to the Service.
  • We are not liable for any damages resulting from the misuse, exposure, or loss of your API keys.

7. Team Features

For users of team management features:

  • Team administrators are responsible for managing member access and roles.
  • Inviting a member to your team may share your team name and related metadata with the invited user.
  • Team owners are responsible for payment of team member upgrades when they choose the "manager pays" option.
  • Removing a member from a team does not automatically cancel their individual subscription.

8. Chrome Extension

Use of the APIKeyConnect Chrome extension is subject to:

The extension communicates with our servers to authenticate your identity and synchronize your data. An active internet connection is required for full functionality.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is owned by APIKeyConnect and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APIKEYCONNECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless APIKeyConnect and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately.
  • We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period, subject to our Privacy Policy.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and indemnification) will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unsuccessful, through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
